Our Journey and Founding Principles
Princeton Christian Academy (PCA) is an outreach ministry of Princeton Bible Church. In 1978, the members of Princeton Bible Church began prayerful discussion regarding the establishment of a Christian school for the spiritual benefit of children around the Bureau County area.
Princeton Christian Academy (PCA) opened its first school year in 1981 with 19 students in kindergarten through third grade. In 1982, fourth and fifth grade were added and sixth grade followed the next year.
In faith, Princeton Bible Church broke ground in 1993 for the addition of a new educational wing, gymnasium, new kitchen and offices. With God’s grace and the generous support of the local community, PCA opened the new facility the following school year. Seventh and eighth grades were added in the year 2000 along with a new library and computer lab. To accommodate increasing enrollment, a new elementary wing was added in 2003.
In the fall of 2025, PCA celebrated its 44th anniversary and continues to offer a Bible based education to the students in and around the Bureau County area.
PCA has been a beacon of faith-based learning since its inception. By God’s grace and providence, the academy has grown from a small elementary school to a respected educational ministry serving students from pre-K through 12th grade. Countless families from Princeton, Illinois and the surrounding area have chosen to make Princeton Christian Academy their home for the education of their children.
Our convictions are settled, and they shape our ministry.
Four commitments are key:
God's Supremacy
As Creator, God reigns supreme over all creation. There is no greater reality and no greater authority than God. To Him we gladly give our allegiance as we do His will.
Biblical Authority
As the Word of God, the Bible is the express will of God. It is absolutely authoritative. As such, it governs and guides us in the conduct of our ministry.
Academic Excellence
As a Christ-centered educational ministry, we strive for academic excellence within a biblical framework. We want students to know and love the Truth.
Personal Ministry
We are more than an educational institution. We are a ministry committed to personal development within the context of healthy relationships of mutual respect.
Vision for the Future
Guiding Our Students Toward a God-glorifying life.
At Princeton Christian Academy, our vision is to cultivate a Christ-centered, nurturing environment where students are encouraged to achieve their fullest potential, under God. We aim to expand our programs to include more extracurricular activities that foster leadership and community service. Our goal is to prepare students not only for academic success but also to become compassionate, responsible citizens who live out their faith in every aspect of their lives. With every investment we make, we strive to provide an education that is both robust and deeply rooted in Truth.

The Value of Christian Education
We believe that Christian education is the truest form of learning, for Christian education begins with God. Apart from God, we cannot be sure that we have arrived at a true understanding of life and the world around us.
Thankfully, God has provided a sufficient and reliable explanation for such things in His Word, the Bible. That is why the Bible has a central place in our ministry, for without a true knowledge of the true God, and without a true understanding of the meaning and purpose for what He has made, we cannot rightly discern and interpret reality.
And so, at Princeton Christian Academy, we begin with God and His Word. Knowing God and knowing what God has made known is the foundation of true knowledge. For this reason, our God-centered curriculum integrates faith and learning, as we encourage students to know God and to grow academically, spiritually, and socially.
Faith-Integrated Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to incorporate Christian values into every subject, providing students with a holistic education that nurtures both their minds and their spirits.
